2010 AGM
Written by Webmaster (SUMS)
Tuesday, 27 April 2010

Dear SUMSter,

Our annual AGM (Annual General Meeting) is coming up!

Date:
Wednesday 12th May 2010
Time: 8:30pm

Location: Bosch Lecture Theatre 4

The purposes of the AGM are:

i) to receive an audited report and statement of accounts for the preceding financial period

ii) to fill any vacancies on the committee

iii) to transact any other business

The positions available for election at this AGM are Concert Manager, Fundraising Officer, Social Secretary, and General Assistant. I would encourage everyone to consider running for committee. It can be very rewarding working behind the scenes organising concerts and just seeing how a society works! It's also a great way to get experience that will prove very valuable when you get into the competitive world of job-hunting! Since we hold our full elections in September/October, any position elected at the AGM will be valid only until the end of 2010, so this is easier than the normal year commitment.

If you are interested in running or nominating someone, please refer to the email sent to all members by the Secretary, Alison Morris, or talk to Alison or Victoria Basile, our president.
